Transport from the Airport

Tromsø is a small island that is about 10km from north to south. The airport is located on the island itself, and by airport bus or taxi it takes about ten minutes into the city center (somewhat longer during rush hour). How to travel to Tromsø

If you come from another country and are going to Tromsø, you must fly to Oslo and then fly on to Tromsø. The flight time from Oslo to Tromsø is approximately 2 hours and there are many daily departures. If you want to come by sea, Hurtigruten calls in Tromsø, and locally you can take a speedboat from Harstad and Finnsnes. There are also bus connections from Narvik, Bardufoss and Alta, for example.
