About the race
The Midnight Sun Marathon Foundation (MSM) organized the first snowshoe race in 2018. In 2020, the Norwegian Athletics Federation introduced snowshoeing as a new sports discipline in the federation.
We challenge anyone who loves running and hiking to try snowshoeing. It is a demanding and fun form of exercise and an increasingly popular form of hiking in Norway. We offer two distances, 5 km trim class and 8 km competition with start and finish at Kvaløya Skistadion. If you don't have your own snowshoes, you can rent a pair from us. We hope to see you on the starting line this winter!
Tromsø Trugeklubb
MSM established Norway's first snowshoe club in 2023. If you want to join the training, you can send us an email to info@msm.no or check out @tromsotrugeklubb on Instagram.
