Change distance?

It is usually no problem to change to a shorter distance as long as we have available start numbers. When changing to a longer distance, an intermediate fee is paid, as long as we have available start numbers.
If you wish to change your distance after you have been assigned a start number, you must first collect your assigned start number. Then contact our secretariat at the start number distribution. Here you can get help changing your distance, as long as there are free start numbers.
On race day
Luggage storage and shower
Toilets and luggage storage are open from 2:00 PM to 6:30 PM at Kulturhuset.
The luggage must be marked with the number tag attached to the starting number before handing it in . The starting number serves as a receipt upon handing it in. It is not permitted to hand in large packages or other luggage that is unsuitable for storage.

Recommended clothing
Clothes
The weather in January can vary greatly north of the Arctic Circle, from several degrees above zero to double-digit temperatures. Weather conditions can also change rapidly within a few hours.
We therefore recommend that you check Yr.no during the week before the race for an updated weather forecast. Dress warmly if freezing temperatures are reported, and be prepared for changing weather conditions.
Recommended shoes
Every year, the discussion rages when runners pick up their start numbers – should they run with spiked or non-spiked shoes? Follow us on social media for updates on trail conditions the week before the race and on race day.
Ice:
The most challenging conditions, and if it is hot and icy, we recommend running with shoes with spikes or studs.
Dry snow:
Great conditions. Trail shoes work very well, otherwise running shoes with good grip work.
Dry asphalt:
It happened in 2019! A good choice is trail shoes, such as the Mizuno Wave Mujin 10 with a rough sole.
After the race

Photos
Photographers
We have photographers who take pictures for us during the race, both on the course and at the finish line. Since our photographers move around during the race, we have no guarantee that we will get pictures of all the runners. The photos will be published on Facebook a few days after the race, as soon as we are up to date.

Marathon Photos
If Marathon-Photos is present, photos are taken of all participants at the finish line, and the company sends out offers for photo packages to participants after the event.
