Tromsø Backyard Ultra
The challenge for those of you who like to test your limits, which in this case is about how many laps you can run on a 6.7 km long trail in scenic surroundings. Social, fun and challenging at the same time!

24 rounds, one goal
In the Tromsø Backyard Ultra, participants run 6706 meters every hour. A new lap starts every hour, and must be completed within the next hour. If you fail to do so, you are out of the competition.
The length of the round is carefully calculated so that the number of rounds corresponds to known distances:
- 24 laps = 100 miles (approx. 160 km)
- 15 laps > 100 km (approx. 100.6 km)
- 12 laps = 50 miles (approx. 80 km)
- 7 laps > Marathon (approx. 46.9 km)
- 4 laps > Half marathon (approx. 26.8 km)
- 2 laps > 10 km (approx. 13.4 km)
The race is simple in concept, but extremely demanding. It tests endurance, willpower and strategy. At the same time, the format creates a unique social atmosphere: runners gather before each round, cheer each other on and share both the hardships and the joys along the way.
A running adventure that challenges the body and strengthens the community!

The race with endurance in focus
Whether you want to test how far you can run, or use the race as a social and motivating workout, the Tromsø Backyard Ultra is the perfect challenge for all levels. The race allows you to control your own pace, cheer on others and share the experience with a community that motivates. Here there is fun, mastery and pure joy of running - you decide how far you want to run. And remember: for those who want to go all the way to the top, not only endurance is tested - a good dose of tactics is also required to reach the goal!
