Traffic regulations - PolarNight Marathon

During PolarNight Marathon there is a need for traffic regulations. We have to block some parts of the race route for ordinary traffic, and there are a number of residential areas that may have to expect delays for entry/exit during the race. There will also be a number of regulated intersections and closed roads. Closures and traffic regulation are done in collaboration with the Police and the Norwegian Public Roads Administration, and are done for the safety of the participants.

Traffic regulations and closure of some streets are absolutely necessary to run the race. We regret that this causes problems for some people, but hope for understanding in light of how important this race is for Tromsø, and how much money it generates for local sports clubs and associations.
