Marathon - June 21st 2025

Midnight Sun Marathon is a "bucket list" marathon. Midnight Sun Marathon is a great course that starts in the city center and goes over Tromsøbrua after approx. 2km. at the top of the bridge you will get a view of Tromsdalstinden and Ishavskatedralen. In Tromsdalen, the trail heads south towards Solligården to Berg and on to the turnaround at Sandvika. The trail goes back the same way over the bridge, through Tromsø city center, around the southern tip of Tromsøya to the turnaround at Vangberg, then back to the city center and finish in Storgata at Kirkeparken. If we are lucky with the weather, the marathon runner will see the midnight sun in the north and have a view of the beautiful snow-capped mountains outside Tromsø. The race and distance are measured and certified by AIMS. The lower age limit for participation is the year you turn 18, i.e. born in 2006 or earlier.
