The toughest race of the winter!

The Arctic Snowshoe Race, or simply the Snowshoe Race, has been in MSM's portfolio since 2018. The Snowshoe Race provides a very special experience, combining running with nature experience, regardless of your ambition level.

Don't have snowshoes? MSM rents out snowshoes in connection with the race, just tick the box on the registration form if you would like this.

Trail

This year's race will take place in Tromsdalen, starting at TUIL Arena. Both distances run inland into the valley, but have different routes. 5 km turns at Gutta på Skauen, while 8 km goes around Dalheim and back on the west side of the valley.

• 8 km is the competition class with timing and awards given accordingly.
• 5 km is the class for exercisers.

Prizes

Everyone who participates will receive a participant medal, and there will also be prizes for the top three in the women's and men's classes over the longest distance.

About snowshoeing

Snowshoeing is not very widespread in Norway, but is a separate branch under the Norwegian Athletics Federation. The World Snowshoe Association has members from the USA, Canada, Argentina, India; Japan, New Zealand, Italy, France and MSM in Norway.

La Ciaspolada in Italy is the largest race in the world, with several thousand participants.
