When the trails rise above the clouds, the adventure begins – freedom, speed and mountains in beautiful union, with challenges that test both strength and endurance.

From mountain peaks to plateaus

An arctic running adventure that provides real running joy and raw nature experiences. The trails vary from challenging trails up the Sherpa stairs in Explo Ekstremløpet and Explo Ekstremstafett , to the Ultra and Half-Ultra races over mountains and plateaus, as well as Dalheim Rundt in more family-friendly surroundings. Several of the races end with a spectacular descent through beautiful Tromsdalen and the finish at TUIL Arena.

This weekend is always held at the end of summer, when the air is fresh and Northern Norway shines in its most beautiful autumn colors!
Running across spectacular mountains and plateaus is an experience in itself – both for new participants and for experienced runners who know the terrain well. The nature and the challenge mean that many return year after year. The trails also offer demanding sections that really test both strength and endurance.

Mountain running can be demanding with rapidly changing weather. It is especially important to have the right equipment along the way – safety must always come first.

The feeling of running in an almost untouched mountain landscape is magical – prepare yourself for real running joy!

Maybe your next challenge? Tromsø Mountain Challenge has something for everyone –
from Dalheim Rundt and the Half Ultra Race to Ultra, Explo Ekstremløpet and Explo Ekstremstafett The 50 km ultra-race starts from Snarbyeidet, while the Half-Ultra-Rope starts from
(25 km) starts from TUIL Arena. Both races end with a spectacular descent through beautiful Tromsdalen and finish at TUIL Arena.

No matter which race you choose, you'll encounter trails that test your strength and endurance, and views that thrill – an adventure that attracts runners from all over the world.

We also offer a start in the TMC Triple . Then you run Explo Ekstremløpet on Friday, the Ultra Run on Saturday, and ends with Dalheim Rundt on Sunday. Here we dare to promise a real acid party and stiff thighs!
